Carers Direct Ltd Position: Care Coordinator

Hours: Part-time (21 hours, flexible working)

Location: The Coordinator will provide support to staff and service users in Kintyre (namely Campbeltown). This position can work from home with the expectation of spending at least a day a month in our Kintyre services.

Salary: £16,926 per annum

Health & Social Care SVQ3 Preferred

Full Driving License Essential

We need a Coordinator who can work to our vision of Providing Outstanding Personal Care and Support. It is important that the Coordinator has a firm understanding of home care, demonstrating best practice and high standards for staff performance.

We believe it is important that this role maintains direct care experience and as such, the Coordinator may occasionally be asked to deliver care.

Your Role:

Supervise staff in service users homes and identify their individual development needs.

Nurture and maintain a positive working environment for our care staff.

Assist in developing and revising care plans, including tailored risk assessments.

Liaise with all involved in each persons care and attend review meetings.

Participate in the recruitment and induction of staff.

Work collaboratively with the administration team.

Work in close partnership with HSCP colleagues.

Ensure quality and regulatory care standards within the service delivery.

Maintain excellent communication with staff, and conduct regular team meetings and supervisions.

Manage new enquiries and changes to existing care packages.

Participate in the on-call rotation (approximately once per 2 months)

Provide direct care as required.

You will have:

Excellent interpersonal, and oral & written communication skills.

The ability to keep your cool under pressure and take a flexible, 'can do' approach to change.

Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage different priorities.

Creative thinking.

The confidence to represent the company over the phone, email and in person.

Experience in dealing with people where service excellence is paramount.

Care industry experience.
