Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organisation's growth. This role requires a strong background in financial management and accounting, along with proficiency in various accounting software.
Duties
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the finance department, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information to senior management.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and changes in financial regulations.
- Utilise accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero to manage financial data effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role within a finance department.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly in accounts payable management.
- Proficiency in accounting software including Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero is essential.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Relevant qualifications in finance or accounting (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) are preferred but not mandatory.
