My Cannock based Automotive company are looking for a Management Accountant to join their dynamic and fast growing business.
Duties:-
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts includingP&L , balance sheet and cash flow statement for presentation to Senior Management and Parent Company.
- Conduct variance analysis on budgets and forecasts to identify key drivers of business performance.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and business plans.
- Manage cash flow forecasting and contribute to financial planning and strategy.
- Oversee reconciliation processes and ensure all financial records are maintained accurately.
- Support the annual budgeting process.
- Quarterly forecasting process.
- Oversee financial controls and compliance with regulations and internal policies
- Develop and implement Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards to provide actionable insights for leadership and operational teams.
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Deliver comprehensive reports for financial data with key business metrics to support data-driven decisions.
- Provide in-depth profitability analysis by department, product line, or customer base to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct cost analyses and identify cost saving and operational saving opportunities
- Collaborate with department heads to optimise cost structures and identify efficiency improvements.
- Monitor KPIs and advise on areas of underperformance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Support strategic projects such as new product lines or market expansion with financial modelling and feasibility analysis.
- Ensure robust financial processes are in place to support business growth.
Key Skills:-
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience in management accounting and financial analysis in a manufacturing, automotive, or similar industry.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, or SAP), and integration with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
- Advanced Excel toincludedata modelling, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Ability to create dynamic, visually appealing dashboards and analytic reports.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in advising senior management on financial strategies.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments
- Familiarity with UK financial regulations, VAT, and corporate taxation requirements.
- Experience working in high-growth businesses or multi-site organisations.
