SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a fantastic manufacturing business based in Cannock. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the preparation and completion of financial reports, assisting with audits, and monitoring internal controls. This role involves compiling annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses, as well as conducting margin analysis and flash reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the month-end reporting pack and regulatory reporting.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Assist in compiling annual budgets, Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Conduct customer and product margin analysis, and analyse stock holdings.
  • Provide cover for critical duties across all finance department activities during holidays and emergencies.
  • Attend internal meetings and contribute to company trading results and reports.
  • Process payment runs for suppliers and credit notes.

Requirements:

  • AAT, CIMA, or ACCA qualifications are advantageous.
  • Significant accounting and finance experience, with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in creating financial statements and managing general ledger functions.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
