My Cannock based Automotive company are looking for a Management Accountant to join their dynamic and fast growing business.

Duties:-

  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts includingP&L , balance sheet and cash flow statement for presentation to Senior Management and Parent Company.
  • Conduct variance analysis on budgets and forecasts to identify key drivers of business performance.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and business plans.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and contribute to financial planning and strategy.
  • Oversee reconciliation processes and ensure all financial records are maintained accurately.
  • Support the annual budgeting process.
  • Quarterly forecasting process.
  • Oversee financial controls and compliance with regulations and internal policies
  • Develop and implement Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards to provide actionable insights for leadership and operational teams.
  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports for financial data with key business metrics to support data-driven decisions.
  • Provide in-depth profitability analysis by department, product line, or customer base to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct cost analyses and identify cost saving and operational saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with department heads to optimise cost structures and identify efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor KPIs and advise on areas of underperformance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Support strategic projects such as new product lines or market expansion with financial modelling and feasibility analysis.
  • Ensure robust financial processes are in place to support business growth.

Key Skills:-

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong experience in management accounting and financial analysis in a manufacturing, automotive, or similar industry.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, or SAP), and integration with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
  • Advanced Excel toincludedata modelling, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
  • Ability to create dynamic, visually appealing dashboards and analytic reports.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in advising senior management on financial strategies.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments
  • Familiarity with UK financial regulations, VAT, and corporate taxation requirements.
  • Experience working in high-growth businesses or multi-site organisations.
