Are you looking to build your finance experience and strengthen your CV? This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team in Cannock as an Accounts Payable Assistant on a 3-month temporary contract. This role has been created to help the existing team manage day-to-day accounts payable tasks while they focus on upcoming projects. With a busy period ahead, they need an extra pair of hands to ensure smooth processing of invoices and payments.

This position is perfect for someone with 6-12 months of finance experience who wants to gain valuable hands-on exposure in a fast-paced environment. While initially a 3-month contract, the upcoming projects mean there is every chance for an extension. This role requires someone who is immediately available or on a one-week notice period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing invoices and matching them to delivery notes
  • Reconciling supplier statements to ensure accurate records
  • Resolving supplier queries in a timely manner
  • Approving invoices for payment and ensuring accuracy
  • Assisting with general accounts payable duties to support the team

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

  • At least 6-12 months of finance experience (accounts payable exposure preferred)
  • Keen to develop finance skills and gain valuable experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal teams
  • Available immediately or within one week
