Our client is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver to join their dynamic team. About You:

The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and able to follow instructions easily. They should be committed to delivering high-quality service and be comfortable working independently without micromanagement. We're looking for a driver with a positive attitude, who is polite and professional when interacting with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transporting goods across designated routes, ensuring the security and integrity of products in transit.
  • Completing all necessary paperwork and following assigned delivery schedules and routes accurately.
  • Conducting daily checks and logging any vehicle defects, reporting issues to management promptly.
  • Adhering strictly to drivers hours, tachograph regulations, and company policies.
  • Wearing the correct PPE at all times and maintaining the cleanliness and order of the vehicle.
  • Offering professional and courteous service to all customers, addressing queries where needed.
  • Coordinating with managers and team members to report any delivery or route issues.
  • Conducting pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and compliant with company standards.
  • Assisting with the loading and unloading of cargo when required.
  • Acting as an ambassador for the company, always ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • HGV Class 1 License (essential).
  • Driver CPC Card (essential).
  • At least 1 year of experience driving HGV Class 1 vehicles.
  • Good understanding of drivers hours laws and tachograph regulations.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Must be willing to tramp Monday to Friday.
  • Curtain Sider experience (preferred).
  • 2 years' Class 1 experience preferred but not essential.
  • Stable work history without frequent job changes.
