Key Account Manager

A prestigious and well-established concern, based in Cannock is looking to recruit an experienced Key Account Manager to join its growing team.

The main objective of the role is to cause revenue growth and minimise loss, and increasing sale of products to existing customers

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the sales plan for your territory with help from colleagues
  • Present yourself in person to our clients in a highly professional manner
  • Build rapport and trust with all decision makers within our client base
  • Complete account reviews in line with targets
  • Obtain new opportunities arising from account reviews and f2f sales visits within existing client base
  • Proactive outbound calling to customers
  • Book/Manage your customer appointments, schedule and preparation including samples/presentations/reports
  • Carry out account admin including stock-counts
  • Produce sales reports for internal management
  • Join your fellow Consultant on joint visits as necessary
  • Complete tenders when existing clients go out to market/ price review
  • Apply necessary price increases and managing gross profit
  • Proactively resolve client issues such as slow-moving stock, account queries, lost business etc.
  • Achieve daily tasks and measures

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar Key Account Manager role
  • Experience of the packaging /wrapping industry would be desirable
  • Spend 60% of work time on the road in front of clients
  • Ability to make lasting work relationships
  • Able to achieve targets and KPI’s
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
  • High level IT skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint etc
  • Highly organised with an eye for detail
  • Driving license
