Job Purpose, Tasks and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Assessing the Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Conducting Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) on other assessors' work.
  • Providing ongoing support to delegates, ensuring they complete their qualification in a timely manner.
  • Managing a delegate-led caseload, adapting to fluctuating workloads as learners enrol at different times.

Whats the Best Thing About This Role?

You will gain immense satisfaction from guiding learners through their qualifications and supporting their professional growth, ensuring they achieve their goals and progress in their careers.

This is a delegate-led role, meaning your workload is dictated by the number of learners assigned to you, each with up to 18 months to complete their course. There is no fail option, so assessments can be resubmitted multiple times until they pass.

Time management, flexibility, and long-term planning are crucial, as you must balance responding to learners' needs while maintaining assessment SLAs.

Strong interpersonal skills are also key, as building rapport with delegates over the course duration ensures they stay engaged and supported.
