We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Tutor to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a student with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) who requires a personalised approach to learning. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring tailored to the student’s specific needs in areas such as Cognition and Learning, Communication and Interaction, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit the student’s developmental level, as they are not working at a national curriculum level.
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans to support progress.
- Implement strategies to manage and support challenging behaviours in a compassionate and effective manner.
- Monitor and report on the student’s progress to relevant stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Experience working with students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) or similar areas of need.
- Strong understanding of individualized teaching strategies and behaviour management.
- Excellent communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to promoting the well-being and development of students with additional needs.
Working Hours:Flexible hours tailored to your availability. Both full-time and part-time options are available. The role includes 1 to 2 hours of planning time per student, depending on session length.
