We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Tutor to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a student with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) who requires a personalised approach to learning. If you have experience in supporting students with additional needs and enjoy making a difference, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring tailored to the student’s specific needs in areas such as Cognition and Learning, Communication and Interaction, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit the student’s developmental level, as they are not working at a national curriculum level.
  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans to support progress.
  • Implement strategies to manage and support challenging behaviours in a compassionate and effective manner.
  • Monitor and report on the student’s progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Experience working with students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) or similar areas of need.
  • Strong understanding of individualized teaching strategies and behaviour management.
  • Excellent communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to promoting the well-being and development of students with additional needs.

Working Hours:Flexible hours tailored to your availability. Both full-time and part-time options are available. The role includes 1 to 2 hours of planning time per student, depending on session length.
