The position is for an Experienced Laser Machine Setter/Operator at an engineering business in Cannock.
Candidates should have previous experience in a similar role, a good knowledge of laser machines, and the ability to read engineering drawings.
The role offers a competitive salary of £14.50 per hour with a shift allowance of £2.50 for late shifts, decreasing to £13.50 per hour with a £1.50 shift allowance for rotating shifts starting in April.
Additionally, employees receive 33 days of flexible holiday entitlement and free onsite parking.
The working hours are Monday to Friday from 14.00 to 22.00 until April 2025, followed by rotating shifts.

We are seeking Experienced Laser Machine Setter/Operator to join their existing team on the shopfloor. As an experienced machine setter, you will set up and operate our laser cutting machines to produce precision metal components. If you have a strong background in machine setting and operation and a commitment to delivering superior results, we want you to be a part of our team! The ideal candidate for the Laser Setter/Operator role will have:

A good knowledge of laser machines.
The ability to read engineering drawings.
Gained previous experience in a similar role.
Good communication skills.
FLT Licence

In return the Laser Setter/Operator can expect to receive a competitive salary, shift allowance, 33 days flexible holiday entitlement and free onsite parking. The working hours for this role will be Monday to Friday 14.00 – 22.00 until April 2025 and then rotating shifts 06.00 – 14.00 and 14.00 – 22.00. Whilst on permanent late shifts you can expect to receive £14.50 per hour with a shift allowance of £2.50 per hour and then when the switch to rotating shifts occurs in April you will receive £13.50 per hour with a shift allowance of £1.50 per hour.
