Permanent Position7.30 - 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7.30 - 1pm FridaysCompetitive Salary + Package We are working with a sub-contract fabrication & manufacturing business, based in Cannock.  Due to a retirement, they are now seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate for the QHSE Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive QHSE programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. The QHSE Manager will play a critical role in fostering a culture of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship across all levels of the organization. Key Functions of the QHSE Manager:
  • Develop and implement QHSE policies, procedures, and programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, risks, and areas for improvements
  • Provide leadership and guidance to employees on QHSE matters, including training programs and safety initiatives
  • Monitor and analyse QHSE performance metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement efforts
  • Manage and maintain the company’s environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and energy conservation efforts
  • Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and lead Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal assessments / audits
  • Develop in-process, operator-led control plans to drive quality
  • Regularly report performance, deviations, and trends in quality activities to relevant parties via monthly Quality meeting
  • Ensure non-conformances of work products, processes, and project activities are identified, recorded, communicated to interested parties - tracked, resolved, and further prevented.
  • Conduct key supplier audits
  • Manage and challenge customer scorecards
  • Lead ISO9001 and ISO14001 adherence and audits
  • Review all quality debit notes in a timely fashion
 The ideal candidate for the QHSE Manager role will have/be:
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a quality management role
  • Experience on ISO14001 & ISO45001 accreditation
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 and IATF16949 internal / external auditing
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, with the ability to interface effectively with internal / external customers.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills.
  • Calibration and Metrology experience
  • Ideally IOSH and NEBOSH trained
  • Knowledge of advanced manufacturing processes
  • Excellent knowledge of quality tools and practical application of Quality tools, such as 6 Sigma, Capability Analysis, PPAP, FMEA and more.
  • Ability to read and interpret customer drawings with GD&T
  • High level of numerical and analytical skills.
  • Competent in all aspects of Microsoft Office suite.

  • Team Player self- assertive with a dynamic positive “can do” attitude
