Lead EV Process Engineer


Location: Cannock, with occasional travel to South Wales
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (flexible)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Introduction

Latham & Bond HR are recruiting for our client, a manufacturing business in Cannock, seeking a Lead EV Process Engineer to drive process design, development, and project management for EV battery integration. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating across departments to ensure the seamless execution of new and existing projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full lifecycle project management for EV battery and related projects.
  • Design and develop processes to support the integration and management of EV components.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including Product Development, Quality, Sales, and Health & Safety teams.
  • Select appropriate materials, place orders, and manage lead times.
  • Ensure all CAPEX approvals are submitted and adhered to for budget control.
  • Maintain compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Support the safe operation of workshop equipment, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Provide input on process improvements and design of process instructions.

Skills and Experience Required

  • High Voltage Level 3 or higher certification.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within EV or high-voltage electrical environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Experience in process design and developing process instructions.
  • Ability to work in a structured, disciplined manner, following work instructions and safe systems of work.
  • Practical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Location

  • Primary Site: Cannock
  • Additional Site: South Wales (occasional travel required, particularly during the initial training period).
