About Us:My client is a fast-growing company specializing in concrete products who have a wide range of heavy goods vehicles. Due to our expanding fleet and growing business, we are seeking an experienced and skilled LGV Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of vehicles, including tractor units, trailers, tippers, and both electric and diesel fork trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on LGVs, including tractor units, trailers, tippers, and various types of forklifts (electric and diesel).
• Perform routine servicing, MOT preparations, and ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
• Fault finding and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Work closely with the workshop team to ensure downtime is minimized and all jobs are completed to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations, keeping a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist with emergency breakdowns when required.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience working as an LGV Mechanic, with a strong background in servicing and repairing large vehicles (tractor units, trailers, tippers).
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems across a wide range of vehicles, including both electric and diesel forklift trucks.
• Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent) are preferred but not essential.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
