Vehicle Technician / PDI Technician

We are currently recruiting for 2 skilled Level 3 Mechanics who are capable of all levels of light to heavy mechanical repairs, as well as carrying out PDI work on new vehicles.

We have PDI Technician / Mechanic positions available within a large state of the art, heated workshop based in Cannock.

You will need to have PDI / vehicle inspection experience to be successful in securing this position, and we can offer an immediate start.

The Job: PDI Technician / Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

  • Qualified mechanic: Fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). You've got your own toolkit for standard repairs
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles to the highest standards. Including suspensions, clutches, diagnostics,
  • Repairing and replacing faulty vehicle parts
  • Performing test drives to check repairs
  • Updating vehicle service records
  • Carrying out mechanical ramp inspections for all vehicles.
  • Accurately reporting all issues/faults found.
  • Recommending appropriate repair methods.
  • Work to set KPI productivity targets -Ensure the accurate data processing of your finding after inspection (i.e. damage, defects found)
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment
  • The candidate should be confident using all the necessary tools and materials, have experience with or be happy with working in a high-volume modern body shop.
  • Mechanical Vehicle repairs experience is essential to be successful in this role.

Job Experience: PDI Technician / Mechanic / Vehicle Technician

  • A background within PDI or mechanical experience is essential
  • City & Guilds OR NVQ level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and repair
  • Experience of working in vehicle repairs
