Responsibilities
- Operate MIG welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the appropriate welding processes.
- Perform welding tasks on sheet metal and other materials as required.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to prepare materials for welding.
- Inspect finished welds for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
Skills
- Proficient in MIG welding techniques with experience in stick welding as an advantage.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Competent in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills.
