Integral position as a full time financial controller for a successful and growing wholesale / retail business in East Kent. You will manage the accounting and finance department, report to the CFO and owners of the business, and will guide and develop your team.

Description
As the Financial Controller / Head of Finance you will be responsible for delivering an improvement to the quality of financial controls, as well as the overall financial management and reporting infrastructure internally.

Key elements that will determine your success in the role will include:
- Enhancing financial controls and reporting
- Partnering with the operational teams (sales, marketing etc) in order to provide greater insight, and influence operational decision making
- Improved financial analysis. This may include scenario modelling and what if scenarios, reviewing potential new products, customers and markets.
- Improve cash management
- Staff management and development. There is only a small team, so you will need to be hands on and involved, but also look to upskill and develop your team to allow more focus on strategy.
- Lead on budgeting and forecasting process
- Cost analysis skills
- Stock management understanding
Profile
The ideal Financial Controller / Head of Finance for this organisation will meet the following criteria
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Strong basic accounting and bookkeeping skills underlying a commercial, value adding accountant
- Proven experience as a Finance Leader (FC, Head of Finance, Finance Director)
- Strong experience in financial controls, management reporting, cost analysis and business partnering
- The ability to partner from top top bottom across all functions to improve outcomes.
Job Offer
The package offered for this position includes a base salary of £70-75,000 +
