Job Title: Maintenance Operative

Salary: £24,570 - £26,520
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

Role Summary:
This role will be responsible for the upkeep of our clients premises through tasks such as painting, cleaning and stock management. The successful employee will conduct inspections, supervise projects, enforce safety protocols, manage waste and promote the company values of trust, integrity, and kindness.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
- Maintaining general appearance and tidiness of external and internal areas.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks regularly.
- Carry out basic carpentry fixes such as fitting doors and fire door adjustments.
- Carry out basic plumbing tasks such as repairing leaks and changing taps.
- Complete regular inspections of building and reporting any issues to the Facilities Manager.
- Determine tools and equipment needed for individual repair or maintenance job.
- Deliver projects from start to finish which can vary from small maintenance through to full office refurbishments projects.
- Overseeing various trades and contractors whilst on site.
- Monitor the building's security, including locking/unlocking doors and ensuring access control.
- Complete general maintenance tasks across the offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
- General duties such as painting, changing light bulbs, replacing air filters and minor repairs.
- Assist with the maintenance of external areas, including car parks, walkways, and landscaped areas.
- Ensure all safety and emergency equipment (fire alarms, extinguishers, exit signs, etc.) is in good working order.
- Daily checks and the topping up of supplies when required such a refilling and restocking cleaning supplies and toiletries (hand wash, toilet paper, paper towels).
Experience and skills required for this position:
- A full driving licence is essential, and you must be 25 or over due to insurance.
- You will need previous experience in a Caretaker / Handy Person role.
- Ideally you will have basic experience of plumbing and carpentry.
- You will be required to travel to two additional sites outside of Kent once a month.
- You will be required to have an Enhanced DBS processed for this role due to the nature of the company.
