PSM Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity to work for an award winning pub as a Senior Sous Chef based in Elham. The successful applicant will be working along side the Executive Head Chef who has worked in some of the worlds best kitchens of both fine dining and Gastro style for the last 25 years. This gives the right candidate an exciting opportunity to be a big part of a beautiful and successful venue with fantastic further development opportunities within this growing business.

This role is for individuals with incredible skill and passion. They need to be dynamic and capable of cooking at a rosette awarded level.

Requirements:

- Experience of at least 10 years in a professional kitchen offering high quality fresh food.

- Competent, friendly and professional leadership skills.

- Excellent butchery, fish filleting and pastry skills, capable of running any section within the kitchen

- At least Level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene and Health and Safety (Level 3 preferred).

- Full UK Driving License (Own transport essential).

- Passionate about working in hospitality.

- Great eye for detail.

- Enjoys and wants to be an active member of a team.

- Excellent verbal communication.

- Worked in a Rosette Kitchen environment or to an equivalent standard.

- Working closely with the Executive Chef of the group and the Head Chef at The Kings Arms.

- Taking control of the kitchen when the Head Chef is absent.

- Taking control of a section within service times.

- Assisting with menu and event ideas.

- Stock control and maintaining high standards of health and safety and cleanliness.

This is a full time position to include evenings and weekends.

Salary £34,000- £37,000 DOE and an additional £8,000 - £10,000 pa tips.
