Senior Site Manager - Commercial & Education Projects

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Site Manager to join a leading main contractor, delivering high-profile commercial and education sector projects. This role involves overseeing Department for Education (DfE) schemes, including the construction and refurbishment of schools, universities, and other educational facilities.

Our client is a leading construction and infrastructure company, specialising in commercial, education, residential, and public sector projects. Known for delivering large-scale developments on time and within budget, they emphasise collaboration, innovation, and sustainability. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage site operations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Oversee health and safety compliance, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Work closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to maintain smooth project progression.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractor activities, ensuring efficiency and adherence to project plans.
  • Ensure projects comply with DfE and local authority regulations, maintaining high standards of compliance.
  • Conduct quality control checks, ensuring all work meets the required specifications.
  • Maintain detailed site records, reports, and progress updates.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager within the commercial and education sectors.
  • Background in working with a main contractor on large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of DfE projects and building regulations within the education sector.
  • Valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certification.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
