Building Services Manager

Location: KentProject Based/Office Based, with flexibility for occasional remote working

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and talented Building Services Manager to join a leading Tier 1 contractor, managing M&E subcontractors through design development, site installation, and commissioning. This role is project-based/office-based, offering flexibility for occasional remote working.

About the Role:

You will be working within the Construction London & Home Counties business, where you will:

  • Manage and set targets to ensure the delivery of building services design and installation within agreed timescales.

  • Ensure M&E services design and installation are fully coordinated, cost-effective, and compliant with contractual obligations.

  • Provide construction mechanical and electrical support, managing services design and integration.

  • Oversee the building services design and installation process to meet programme requirements.

  • Work closely with the project manager, design manager, and commercial team to coordinate M&E installations.

  • Assess customer documentation and requirements to ensure full integration into design and installation.

  • Monitor services design and manage information flow between subcontractors and consultants.

  • Ensure high standards of health and safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

What We Are Looking For:
  • A full understanding of detailed M&E procedures with strong technical and professional expertise.

  • Significant experience in the main contracting market, ideally on Education and Healthcare projects valued between £10 million - £40 million.

  • A strong understanding of construction techniques and ability to produce M&E design, installation, and commissioning programmes.

  • Knowledge of BREEAM standards.

  • HNC (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant field.

  • A team player with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
