The successful Document Controller will be joining a new project with an estimated 80m value and a busy General Contractor with rich pipeline of work for the coming years.
As theDocumentControlleryou will be working closely alongside the production and commercial teams, design consultancies and subcontractors. You will be responsible for seeing the project through from inception to completion.
Document Controller Responsibilities:
- AllDocumentControl relating to the design of the project (Drawings / RFIs / Tech Subs / Sample Schedules)
- Work closely with the Design Manager and Project lead Liaise with members of the design team and sub-contractors on design issues/queries
- Work with the site team to provide basic administrative support
- Assist the Project Leader in gathering data for monthly progress/forecast reports and collating the finaldocumentfor issue
- Provide weekly/monthly site stat reports to project manager
- Liaise with the Project Lead / Design Manager re the co-ordination of O&M manuals
- Audit hard copy folders (Design and H&S)
- Provide a reporting and feedback function such that senior managers are fully aware of alldocumentation issues
- Ensure that procedures are fully implemented in order to meet requirements of the BMS and otherdocumentation and information systems
- Create and customize forms and schedules for site-specific operations
Document Controller Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Document Controller.
- Proficiency with P4, Aconex, Asite or other document management systems.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in a contractor environment is desirable.
