Reed HR have partnered with an organisation in Kent who are seeking a proactive and positive HR and Payroll professional to join their People Team. This role is crucial in providing effective HR and Payroll administrative services, ensuring the smooth running of the department and a seamless employee journey. You will support the People Business Partner and the wider team, particularly with Oracle system queries, and play a key role in payroll processing to ensure all employees are paid accurately and on time.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Maintain and ensure compliance with HR systems, particularly Oracle, aligning with legislation and audit processes.
  • Share Oracle system knowledge within the People team to enhance system understanding and usage.
  • Support HR Business Partners with recruitment processes, ensuring legal compliance and effective use of the Oracle Recruitment Cloud (ORC).
  • Manage system-related issues, including raising support tickets and liaising with IT for effective resolution.
  • Handle all administration for new employees, from issuing contracts to conducting reference checks.
  • Administer payroll-related data accurately and within deadlines, ensuring all employees are paid correctly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files, ensuring high standards of data quality.
  • Process and monitor expenses within the People Team and manage the HR/Payroll budget effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Strong administrative skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with a positive and adaptable attitude.
  • Experience in managing a diverse and heavy workload within a busy environment.
  • Experience working with colleagues at all levels in a confidential environment.
  • Educated to A-Level or equivalent.
