We are looking for an experienced Engineer/Machinist who can tailor their knowledge to teach students. You do not have to have worked in an education setting before.

Overview

Working in Further Education supporting adults and young people in practical environments and workshops with lathes, CNC and Milling machines.

40.00 to 65.00/hour, holiday accrued, weekly paid, 24 hours per week.

The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and ideally you will be on the update service, however we will cover the cost of a new DBS if this is not the case.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Level 2&3 mechanical theory, lathe/machinist theory and practical
  • CNC practical experience
  • Provide support and guidance to students to facilitate their success in the field.
  • Foster an inclusive and welcoming learning environment for all students.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 vocational engineering qualification
  • Minimum of 3-years industry experience in a machine workshop.
  • Prior experience in teaching or lecturing would be an advantage however if you do not have any teaching experience but have a passion for sharing your knowledge, then this will still be considered.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
