A well-respected charity is seeking a Payroll Manager to ensure the quality and accuracy of payroll instructions sent to their external payroll provider and other providers of staff benefits. This pivotal role involves managing the payroll for over 400 employees and overseeing the services provided by the outsourced payroll services provider.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Manage payroll data and ensure the accuracy of all payroll-related information.
  • Administer pension schemes and manage life insurance schemes.
  • Provide calculations and technical advice on pay-related queries.
  • Oversee the contract and services of the outsourced pay bureau.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory payroll-related legislation and employer liabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience managing a complex payroll function for a similar-sized organisation.
  • Experience managing external service providers.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory payroll-related legislation and employer liabilities.
  • Familiarity with basic UK employment legislation.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel, with the ability to display complex information in a simple format.
