JOB TITLE: HR Advisor/Employee Relations

LOCATION: Canterbury, Kent (free parking)

SALARY: £17ph to £20ph

TERM: ongoing Temporary

HOURS: Flexible hours

New vacancy just in with an immediate start! We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor with Employee Relations experience to join a charity organisation based in Canterbury, Kent. You will be joining an established and friendly HR team in this pivotal role. Flexible working is on offer, as is the option to work part-time, in return you will need to be available almost immediately and happy to commit to a temporary role.

The day-to-day duties in your new job would be:

  • Providing HR advice to managers and staff
  • Dealing with Employee Relations
  • Supporting with disciplinaries and grievances, attending meetings, advising on rights & responsibilities
  • Sickness management, tracking absences, monitoring number of instances, conducting meetings
  • Redundancy advice, arranging consultations with staff
  • Reviewing company HR policies or individual terms and conditions of employment
  • To advise and assist managers in the preparation/documentation of cases under formal procedures
  • Drafting reports for HR hearings
  • Attending formal interviews to advise on procedure and record proceedings
  • Deferring to the Head of HR for advice where necessary or when needing to delegate a case elsewhere
  • Providing support or guidance to other members of the HR Team if they are undertaking casework
  • Conducting exit interviews
  • Support the Head of HR with change management processes
  • Other HR duties as required

Skills required for this position:

  • Previous HR Advisor experience
  • Experience within Employee Relations
  • Ideally holds a CIPD qualification or other relevant studies
