Our client based in Canterbury is seeking to appoint a passionate Data Manager to join their hardworking team of staff across their Group.

The below outlines some of the key duties and responsibilities of being a Data Manager at the company.

  • To prepare, collate and analyze student attainment, attendance, assessment, progress and standards data as required, to the Group Leadership Team, School Governing Body and Leadership Team, Local Authorities, staff, students and parents/carers.
  • To ensure the efficient and effective use of data within the Group so that teaching and learning is targeted and appropriate to enable every student to meet or exceed their expectations.
  • To be responsible for the production and maintenance of the timetabling process across the Group, in liaison with the Heads of Services.
  • To support the internal and external examinations process with data collation and interpretation.
  • To continually enhance and develop the school’s MIS systems
  • To be the data subject expert across the Group and be able to support others

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in data management within an educational setting.
  • A proven ability to work at a high level with Microsoft products, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely to multiple audiences.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrable ability to work on your own initiative
  • Knowledge of examination processes and regulatory requirements
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with MIS school platforms such as Arbor.
  • Potential to be able to write reports and case studies
  • Attention to detail, a high level of accuracy and the ability to work independently are key.
