We are seeking a dedicated Production & Technical Manager to join our team. This role focuses on enhancing production efficiency, reducing packaging waste, and ensuring all products comply with quality standards. The successful candidate will also deputize for the Packhouse Manager and lead the Quality Assurance team.
Day-to-day of the role:- Monitor and enhance the efficiency of Production teams, providing necessary training, support, and feedback.
- Collaborate with Line Leaders to minimise packaging waste, particularly around flow wrap lines.
- Assist the General Manager with technical tasks and handle customer complaints.
- Prepare Quality Service Level information and manage yearly calibration arrangements.
- Conduct internal audits, prepare for monthly and quarterly meetings, and ensure compliance with BRC standards.
- Oversee the Quality Assurance team, ensuring all quality assessments and traceability documentation are completed.
- Maintain high hygiene standards and manage the label database in conjunction with the Packhouse Manager.
- Proven experience in a production environment, preferably within the fresh produce sector.
- Strong understanding of efficiency monitoring and fresh produce specifications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a flexible and dynamic approach to management.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Competent in problem-solving and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of health and safety policies, Level 2 Hygiene, and food safety awareness.
- Level 2 HACCP certification.
