About the Role

As a Mechanical & Electrical Technician, you will deliver exceptional service in all areas of mechanical and electrical maintenance, compliance, and reactive works. You will operate autonomously, applying your extensive knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems to make informed technical decisions. Your expertise will ensure the continuous functionality of vital systems across various sites, enhancing the overall patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on a variety of systems, including boilers, low-voltage electrical systems, fire alarms, HVAC, medical gas systems, and more
  • Independently analyse problems and implement effective solutions to ensure optimal system performance
  • Actively use the Technical Solutions CAFM system for job management and progress tracking
  • Ensure adherence to company safety standards and procedures, promoting a culture of safety across all operations
  • Keep detailed records of all tasks undertaken for compliance and further education
  • Respond swiftly to emergencies, prioritising patient needs at all times

Who We're Looking For

  • A qualified Mechanical or Electrical Technician with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems
  • Previous experience in an acute hospital environment is essential

  • A full valid driving licence is required for travel between sites

Essential Qualifications:

  • Qualification in either mechanical or electrical discipline
  • Relevant City & Guilds or BTEC qualifications
