New long-term Document Controller vacancy in Kent!!
- Position: Document Controller
- Location: Canterbury, Kent (this role will also involve being project as well as office based. Projects are in Canterbury and Ashford).
- Transport required: Essential
- Contract type: Freelance / Temporary
- Start date: ASAP (November 2024)
- Working hours: 7:30am - 5pm (Mon - Fri)
- Duration: 6 months+
- Pay rate: £Negotiable (PAYE or via an Umbrella product)
- Document Control system: Viewpoint / 4 Projects
The projects:
A new build schemes in Ashford and Canterbury with a combined value in excess of £25 million across local authority the education sectors.
Duties include:
- Site based document control using 4 Projects / Viewpoint e.g. managing drawings on the Hub and Ops Centre co-ordination as and when required on data control systems.
- Make sure that all data records of information is kept up to date and everyone is able to access it.
- Liaise closely with designers with queries regarding issues of the drawings
- Assisting the site operations and office design team with any site administration including typing, printing, keeping spreadsheets up to date, filing etc.
- Coordinate training to designers, participants and specialist suppliers on the project with how to use the drawing management system.
- Issue information and ensure compliance procedures with the design management are followed.
- Supply advice and feedback on any issues and methods with using the systems.
About you:
- Experience using document control systems (4Projects/Viewpoint is essential)
- Confident with chasing and liaising with site personnel.
- Team player.
- Ability to learn new systems.
- Strong attention to minor details within paperwork.
- Previous experience within a Document Control role.
- Be confident working within a construction project setting.
