Reed HR have partnered with a company in Kent who are seeking a skilled Restructure & TUPE Specialist to join the HR team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in managing restructuring processes and TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment) regulations. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and support throughout the restructuring process, ensuring compliance and smooth transitions.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead and manage the planning and implementation of restructuring projects.
  • Provide specialist advice on TUPE implications during mergers, acquisitions, and business transfers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and implementation of changes.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to restructuring and TUPE transfers, proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and training sessions on TUPE regulations and processes to management and staff.
  • Support the HR team in managing consultations, negotiations, and communications with employees and trade unions.
  • Ensure all documentation, including employee transfer lists and due diligence reports, are accurately prepared and maintained.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Restructure & TUPE Specialist or similar role within HR.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, particularly relating to restructuring and TUPE.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations diplomatically.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional HR qualification (CIPD) is preferred.
