Academics, Canterbury are seeking enthusiastic and committed Graduate Mathematics School Cover Supervisors to provide essential support across various schools in East Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment and inspire students in their mathematical studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes in the absence of the regular mathematics teacher, ensuring that students stay on task and engaged.
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons and assist students in their understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Foster a positive learning atmosphere that encourages student participation and respect.
- Monitor student behaviour and report any concerns to school staff.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to support the overall learning objectives of the school.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A recent degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Strong understanding of GCSE mathematics and the ability to communicate concepts effectively.
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively.
- A commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.
