Assistant / Junior Project Manager - Developer / Construction

Our business growth targets are to deliver over £50m of housing projects over the next 3 years. The expansion of our in-house Project Management operations and recruiting talented people is critical to achieving our business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple construction projects from conception and design to completion
  • Support with development designs and planning permission activities
  • Work with design external consultants to produce appropriate designs for construction teams
  • Complete cost planning, variations and forecasting projects
  • Produce and manage specification and quantity documents for each project
  • Prepare project plans, organization charts, status reports, and project execution plans
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and contractors
  • Manage sub-contractor tender process and document collation - vetting, contracts and documents
  • Oversee procurement and management of plant and materials for projects
  • Manage construction quality assurance processes, quality and snagging inspections
  • Manage the allocation of labour & resources across multiple projects
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to the Management Team
  • Oversee Health & Safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies,ensuring all Health and Safety paperwork and record keeping is maintained and upheld

What you will need:

  • Proven experience in Construction Project Management
  • Proven experience in new build housing construction projects is preferred.
  • Relevant construction-related qualifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Understanding of construction methodologies, specifications, and drawings.
  • Awareness of managing health and safety standards on-site and compliance with CDM regulations.
  • Ability to maintaining accurate project reporting, records and managing project correspondence efficiently.
  • Strong team player with the ability to support and coordinate site teams.
  • Solution driven problem solver, with positive mentality
  • Entrepreneur mentality : proactive learner and willingness to support others to grow
  • Full driving licence and means of your own transport, willingness to travel regularly across the South East

Renumeration and benefits:

We will offer a salary between £30,000.00-£45,000.00 depending on skills and experience.

  • We offer hybrid working youll be based at home, at the office (based in near Canterbury, Kent) and site (locations over Southeast Kent)
  • 25 days holiday, with Bank Holidays in addition
  • Provide you with a laptop and mobile phone
