The Company:

This national building contractor who work on a variety of construction and refit projects across the South East. They are in the process of growing a regional team to meet the demands of the project. Typical projects around 10m+ in value.

The Job:

This exciting Assistant Quantity Surveyor is a great opportunity to prepare yourself for a Quantity Surveying position with great room for development and guidance from established professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of tender documents, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with the Quantity Surveying team to review project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify potential cost implications.
  • Assist in the valuation of work completed, managing payment applications, and ensuring accurate financial documentation.
  • Support in the negotiation and settlement of variations, claims, and disputes, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve any cost-related queries.
  • Assist in contract administration tasks, including contract drafting, review, and management.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting and forecasting through to the final account all under the supervision of a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
