About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor

You will be responsible for the commercial and surveying responsibilities for large Sites. Effectively manage costs for the site, and ensure targets are met by managing and controlling the budget and valuations, including monthly updating of the estimated final costs, and can show absolute cost and value reconciliation.

Responsible for managing all sub-contractor procedures and processes, and materials and goods if necessary.

The responsibilities of a Senior Quantity Surveyor

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of commercial strategies.
  • Manage specific aspects of the project's commercial activities like managing contracts with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure accurate cost control and financial reporting by monitoring project costs and preparing financial reports and identifying potential cost overruns.
  • Mentor and support Assistant Quantity Surveyors

Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor

  • PLC experience
  • Experience with COINS System
  • Worked on large scale residential units
  • Qualified to HND level or higher with a valid CSCS card
  • Strong managerial and negotiation skills with internal and external clients
  • Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail, able to gather, interpret and present data to facilitate preparation of budgets and subsequent valuations
