Our client is a family-run estate agency and is currently looking to recruit an all-round lettings professional to join the team within their friendly office in Canterbury. This is a diverse role where you will be responsible for a mix of lettings administration, property management, and you will also be expected to get involved in some front-line lettings negotiation as well.

Work/life balance is important to the company and have reflected this in the working hours. You will start your day at 8.30am and finish at 5pm Monday to Friday. Saturday working is on a rota 1 in 3 from 9am to 3pm, with a weekday back in lieu.

Responsibilities will include:

• Dealing with incoming calls and customers in the office• Lettings progression - processing tenancy applications & referencing for new lets including compliance checks• Conducting AML• Managing and coordinating tenancy renewals• Lead management, dealing with incoming property enquiries• Booking viewings and market appraisals• Diary management• Booking inventories, check outs and mid-term inspections• Registering deposits & dealing with deposit claims• Assisting with Property Management issues• Processing utility movements• Conducting viewings and inspections as and when required• Managing and booking critical safety inspections• Running timely reports• Problem solving• Working with the team to meet targets and grow the

Personal specification:

• Good level of education including Maths and English• Working knowledge of MS Office• Excellent IT & fast, accurate typing skills• Excellent organiser with good attention to detail• Excellent level of written communication• Good telephone manner• Ability to effectively multi-task and work effectively under pressure• Ability to prioritise workload effectively and cope with a variety of tasks• Friendly and approachable manner• Excellent problem-solving skills and common sense• 'Can do’ attitude with honesty, reliability and trustworthiness• Professional and smartly dressed• Full UK driving licence (business insurance required).

The salary on offer will include a basic of c. ÂŁ25,000, with an OTE figure in the region of ÂŁ28,000. Company mileage will be paid.
