We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our secondary mainstream school in Swale. This is a full-time, permanent position with an immediate start. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching English and committed to providing high-quality education to students.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Foster a love for literature and language among students.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students on their educational and personal development.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
- Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies, and school regulations.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole school training events.
- A degree in English or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching English at secondary school level.
- Excellent knowledge of the English curriculum.
- Strong classroom management skills.
