We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor in the Canterbury area. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the school by supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will deliver pre-set lesson plans in a variety of subjects across KS3 and KS4, maintaining a positive and orderly learning environment.
  • You will manage student behavior in line with the school's policies, ensuring a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere.
  • You need to encourage students to stay focused, offering guidance and support where necessary to ensure their understanding of tasks.
  • You will be assisting with other tasks as required, such as taking attendance, organising classroom materials, and providing feedback on student engagement.
  • You will assist with non-classroom duties such as break/lunch supervision and cover for other staff absences where needed.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to adapt to different classroom environments, and a genuine passion for working with young people. Previous experience in education is preferred but not essential.
