As a Security Service Engineer, you'll be a key part of providing vital security solutions to customers across Kent.The RoleAs a Security Service Engineer, you will service a variety of systems, including Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control for clients across Kent. There is also the opportunity to work on fault diagnosis and repairs for experienced engineers.Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control systems.
- Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on faulty systems.
- Maintain Emergency Lighting and Dual Com monitoring systems.
- Work with IP and Analogue CCTV systems and manage basic networking tasks.
- Ensure systems meet all current industry standards and codes of practice.
Skills and Experience
- Experience servicing Intruder Alarms (conventional and wireless).
- Knowledge of Fire Alarm systems and emergency lighting.
- Experience with Access Control and Door Entry systems.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, both IP and analogue, and basic networking.
- Understanding of communication devices and monitoring systems.
- Experience working with major brands of security panels and app-based systems.
- Knowledge of NSI codes of practice and industry standards.
- Full UK driving license is essential.
The Ideal CandidateYou will be based in Kent and have previous experience working as a multi-disciplinary engineer. Along with strong technical skills, you should have excellent communication abilities, be self-motivated, and have great time-management skills. Working Hours and Additional Info
- Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.
- On-call requirement approximately 1 in 9 weeks (additional payment for on-call hours).
- The role involves working at height, including the use of ladders, and can be physically demanding.
- NSSA Security Screening will be required for this role.
