Senior Support Worker for Care Home in Canterbury Kent CT1
We are looking to hire a senior Support Worker at our 17 bed home near Canterbury, Kent.
Our family run business take great pride in specialising in dementia support that provides a high level of care to our residents.
The service we provide is entirely independence driven and person focused, being a small home enables us to do just this.
You will be given tremendous support from the Registered Manager and Deputy and given huge encouragement.
It is important that you are strong leader who has vision for the residentant and your staff team.

Senior Support Worker Salary and shifts
- Around £13 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Must have nvq3.
- Shifts would be 3 per week @12 hours (36 total), 7.30am until 7.30pm or can do part time 2 per week, 24 hours. Working as part of a team rota.
Essential Requirements of Senior Support Worker
- Experience in supporting adults with multiple, and complex, support needs.
- Have excellent communication skills: verbal, non verbal, and written.
- Experience in shift leading within a Health and Social Care setting
- Knowledge of CQC requirements, Safeguarding, best practice around person centred planning and ability to work to, and monitor, quality standards
- Can work flexibly to meet the needs of the people we work with which could include evenings, weekends, and sleep ins.

Experience and Qualifications of Senior Support Worker
- Supervisory/leadership experience in a residential or nursing home setting
- A positive outlook and warm personality
- Supervisory/leadership experience in a residential or nursing home setting
- Confident in record-keeping and the use of various technologies
- Able to remain calm and guide colleagues under pressure
- Flexibility to work shift patterns according to the needs of our residents
