Myn is proud to be recruiting for our long-term client in Kent. We are looking for passionate and skilled Social Workers to join the Specialist Children's Services team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with children and families, managing caseloads of varying complexity while making a real difference in their lives.
About the Role You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating actions to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and their families. The role involves working on cases of varying complexity, participating in multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to training initiatives to raise the standard of professional work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a Children & Families caseload, including assessments, reviews, and welfare reports.
- Plan and deliver high-quality services in line with policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Build strong partnerships with families, statutory agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all interactions and interventions.
- Provide support in Family Court proceedings and represent the team as required.
- Participate in training initiatives and in-house courses to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Work across various social work teams to build expertise and meet diverse needs.
- Degree in Social Work (DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
- Registration as a Social Worker with the Health Care Professional Council (HCPC).
- Completion of ASYE if qualified for more than two years.
- Diverse post-qualification experience in Children and Families.
- Experience with systemic practices, such as Signs of Safety.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong report-writing and computer literacy skills.
- Good knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures for Looked After Children, Children in Need, and Child Protection.
- Emotional resilience and a commitment to reflective practice.
- Supervisory and mentoring skills to support the development of colleagues and students.
