This flexible role offers both day-to-day and long-term opportunities and can suit either part-time or full-time availability.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and thrive both academically and socially. Working closely with teachers and SEN specialists, you will contribute to creating an inclusive and nurturing educational environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with special educational needs.
- Assist in planning and delivering interventions tailored to individual education plans (IEPs).
- Foster an inclusive and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages participation.
- Collaborate with staff to monitor and support students’ progress and well-being.
- Record student achievements and provide constructive feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
- A compassionate, adaptable, and patient approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A valid driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle are preferable.
