About the School:Pupils are aged 2 to 19 with Profound, Severe, and Complex Learning Difficulties.
The Role:As an SEN Teacher in Canterbury, you'll have the opportunity to inspire and support students with a variety of learning needs. You'll design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse abilities within your classroom. Working collaboratively with a dedicated team, you'll create personalised learning plans, track progress, and provide consistent support to ensure each student thrives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver lessons tailored to the individual needs of SEN students.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment where every student feels supported and respected.
- Work closely with parents, colleagues, and external agencies to create effective learning plans.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records in line with school policies.
- Engage in professional development to refine your SEN teaching skills.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching students with SEN, ideally in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of strategies to support various learning needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and equality in education.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
