HGV Technician – £63,000 + use of company vehicle – Canterbury, Kent

The Role

Do you have extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing engine defects? Are you skilled in carrying out safety inspections, MOT preparations and major repairs to commercial vehicles? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are a well-established truck rental service provider that run a range of 700 DAF, Scania, Volvo, MAN, and Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

We are looking to hire an experience HGV technician to our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out safety inspections, MOT preparations and diagnostics for our commercial vehicle fleet.
  • Perform major repairs, including engines, gearboxes, and clutches.
  • Ensure all work complies with DVSA standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain a high level of operational efficiency.

The Company

CVME was established in 1982 by Philip Browning carrying out servicing, repairs and modifications to commercial vehicles.

Over the years CVME has added a range of vehicles to its already growing fleet which is now in excess of 710 commercial vehicles and refrigerated trailers.

The Person

  • Has substantial experience with internal engine defects and diagnostics.
  • Is confident in performing major repairs to engines, gearboxes, and clutches.
  • Understands the importance of working to DVSA standards.
  • Is highly organised and able to manage workshop operations effectively.
