Are you the right person for the job?
- Able to read engineering drawings
- Experience in programming Fanuc control systems
- Team player with the ability to work on own initiative
- Experience in programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines
What will your role look like?
- Responsible for setting and operating HASS CNC machines with Fanuc Controls to the required job specifications
- Responsible for machine changeovers and production runs based on machine utilisation and target completion dates and within set tolerances. Following works orders, drawings and material specifications
- Responsible for setting/ operating CMC Mills & lathe and machining centres by HASS CNC Fanuc controls Machines
- Modify and create new programmes based on drawings and component demand
- Using a range of measurement equipment including Vernier, micrometres
- Ensuring that safe operating procedures are adhered to in the machine shop
- Responsible for performing daily machine checks, carry out routine maintenance and reports
- Working within the machining department ensuring the efficient running of CNC machines
- Supervision of the machine shop area and operators in the absence of the machine shop Supervisor
- Minimise machine set-up time
- Reporting any malfunctions of equipment and minimising machine down-time
- Responsible for maintaining the condition and stock levels of tooling
- Maximise material utilisation
- Train others to use the machines as and when required
