CNC Programmer/Operator  | Essex | 40 hours per week plus overtime | £16.00 per hour negotiable

Are you the right person for the job?

  • Able to read engineering drawings
  • Experience in programming Fanuc control systems
  • Team player with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Experience in programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines

What will your role look like?

  • Responsible for setting and operating HASS CNC machines with Fanuc Controls to the required job specifications
  • Responsible for machine changeovers and production runs based on machine utilisation and target completion dates and within set tolerances. Following works orders, drawings and material specifications
  • Responsible for setting/ operating CMC Mills & lathe and machining centres by HASS CNC Fanuc controls Machines
  • Modify and create new programmes based on drawings and component demand
  • Using a range of measurement equipment including Vernier, micrometres
  • Ensuring that safe operating procedures are adhered to in the machine shop
  • Responsible for performing daily machine checks, carry out routine maintenance and reports
  • Working within the machining department ensuring the efficient running of CNC machines
  • Supervision of the machine shop area and operators in the absence of the machine shop Supervisor
  • Minimise machine set-up time
  • Reporting any malfunctions of equipment and minimising machine down-time
  • Responsible for maintaining the condition and stock levels of tooling
  • Maximise material utilisation
  • Train others to use the machines as and when required
