Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of mortgage applications from initial submission to completion.
- Assist a team of three mortgage brokers
- Be accountable and available daily to support the team.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted promptly.
- Monitor the progress of each application and keep all parties informed of updates.
- Address client enquiries and resolve any issues that arise during the application process.
- Provide regular updates to clients on the status of their mortgage applications.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Verify all documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of all mortgage applications.
- Liaise with underwriters, lenders, solicitors, and other third parties.
- Schedule and coordinate property valuations and surveys as required.
- Facilitate the exchange of information between all parties involved in the mortgage process.
Skills and Competencies:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in mortgage processing, underwriting, or a related field.
- CeMAP qualification is ideal but not essential.
- Experience working on 1st charge mortgages and Buy-to-Let (BTL) mortgages.
- Strong understanding of mortgage products, services, and regulations.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using mortgage processing software and other relevant technology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
