Role Responsibilities

As an Audit Director, you’ll work closely with the Partners to lead and develop the audit team while managing a varied client portfolio. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of audit clients with turnovers ranging from £1m to £100m, providing high-quality audit and advisory services
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, becoming a trusted advisor on technical and commercial matters
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of qualified, part-qualified, and trainee accountants, ensuring a positive and high-performing culture
  • Playing an active role in business development, leveraging your own network to generate opportunities and grow the audit division
  • Creating a collaborative and dynamic team environment where individual talent is nurtured, and everyone works towards a common goal
  • Reviewing internal processes to identify and implement efficiency improvements
  • Establishing a strong external network, including professional connections with bank managers, solicitors, and business leaders
  • Overseeing internal compliance procedures, such as quality control reviews and money laundering regulations
