Your new companyI am recruiting for a highly reputable practice with a 100 year history across the South West. The firm is still independently owned and is a top 50 Practice in the UK. The team I am recruiting for has existed for 30 years and has grown from 10 to 55 people in the last 10 years. You will be joining the firm in an exciting phase of growth - this will allow you to grow with the business with management opportunities available in future. Your new roleYou will be responsible for a diverse portfolio of clients across the healthcare industry,including owner managed businesses, corporate groups, nor-for-profit organisations and private equity investors.Acting as first point of contact for clients, you will supervise audits both on and off-site, mentoring and supervising our apprentices, and also take responsibility for accounts, tax and business advice.The team offers real opportunities for career progression and works closely with our corporate finance team with opportunities to get involved in specialist assignments and projects.

  • Fully supervise a portfolio of clients, taking responsibility of all aspects of audit, accounts, tax and business advisory, including ad hoc project work as it arises
  • Plan and carry out audit fieldwork, statutory financial reporting and completion work
  • Assist with pre-year-end tax planning (corporate and personal), liaising closely with the tax department
  • Supervise/undertake work at client premises, liaising with clients, including acting as a point of contact for day-to-day ad hoc queries and enquiries
  • Supervise, mentor and coach staff
  • Prepare benchmarking data reports used to discuss with clients and advise on their business strategy and development
  • Assist the Corporate Finance team with specialist assignments.
