My client is seeking a highly motivated and talented Chartered Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to play a key role in the financial success of our growing business.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for a wide range of key financial activities, including:
- Financial Reporting:
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes for group companies.
- Lead the preparation and review of group monthly and annual reporting, including the finance pack.
- Prepare technical papers outlining group accounting decisions.
- Continued development of the ERP and other systems, focusing on key areas to achieve aims of automated processes and improved financial reporting.
- Financial Control:
- Lead the monitoring, review and testing of internal controls.
- Lead the preparation of year-end accounts.
- Lead the audit process, including the preparation and review of audit deliverables and the audit timeline.
- Lead the preparation and review of corporation tax information.
- Financial Analysis:
- Gathering and monitoring financial data.
- Other:
- Deputise for the Head of Finance when required.
- Ad-hoc financial reporting tasks.
About You:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA)
- Strong technical accounting skills with a proven track record in a similar role (industry experience preferred, but not essential)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
- Highly motivated, results-oriented, and a team player
- Proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and accounting software (experience with ERP systems highly desirable)
- A desire to learn and develop within a challenging and rewarding environment
Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £52,000 - £56,500 per annum
