My client is seeking a highly motivated and talented Chartered Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to play a key role in the financial success of our growing business.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for a wide range of key financial activities, including:

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Lead month-end and year-end close processes for group companies.
    • Lead the preparation and review of group monthly and annual reporting, including the finance pack.
    • Prepare technical papers outlining group accounting decisions.
    • Continued development of the ERP and other systems, focusing on key areas to achieve aims of automated processes and improved financial reporting.
  • Financial Control:
    • Lead the monitoring, review and testing of internal controls.
    • Lead the preparation of year-end accounts.
    • Lead the audit process, including the preparation and review of audit deliverables and the audit timeline.
    • Lead the preparation and review of corporation tax information.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Gathering and monitoring financial data.
  • Other:
    • Deputise for the Head of Finance when required.
    • Ad-hoc financial reporting tasks.

About You:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA)
  • Strong technical accounting skills with a proven track record in a similar role (industry experience preferred, but not essential)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and a team player
  • Proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and accounting software (experience with ERP systems highly desirable)
  • A desire to learn and develop within a challenging and rewarding environment
